Tear quality assessment screening for Dry Eye Disease

Advanced Instruments demonstrated the new Advanced Tear Osmometer at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Ophthalmologists. The Tear Osmometer uses the freezing point method to measure tear film osmolality, which is recognized in the Dry Eye Workshop (DEWS) committee's definition of dry eye disease.

Unlike other methods for determining the concentration of solutes dissolved in solution, such as vapor pressure or conductivity, the freezing point method determines the concentration of a solution by accounting for all components that affect osmolality. ...Read more here

osmometry
Welcome to Advanced Instruments, Inc.- a group of companies with a worldwide commitment to laboratory professionals and their need for state-of-the-art diagnostic testing systems. Advanced Instruments, Inc. is a privately-held business headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts, supporting worldwide operations and a comprehensive distribution network of independent dealers. Founded in 1955, the company is the world's foremost authority for the application of freezing point depression (FPD) technology. Additional technologies have been developed or acquired, making Advanced Instruments a leading supplier of diagnostic testing systems used by medical and industrial laboratories. In addition to branding products with the Advanced Instruments name, the company designs, develops and markets diagnostic products for Fiske Associates (trademark) and Spiral Biotech, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary). We have information on a osmometer and osmol gap. An osmometry, a measurement of osmolality by the freezing point method, is an important diagnostic method used in a broad range of clinical applications not currently available by any other means with added water that is like milk quality. For example, osmometer and osmometry is critical in improving patient care by its direct measurement of body fluid osmolality, thus providing clinical information not available by any other means similar to pasteurization and phosphatase. Clinicians can make more timely diagnoses and institute more appropriate patient care which can translate to decreased health care costs of the institution. Sample preparation anaerobic chamber jaundice, stomacher susceptibility test for ftir advanced instruments.

Freezing-point depression osmometry is capable of measuring all osmotically active solutes within the range of 0-4000 mOsmol/kgH2O, including volatile substances such as ftir and sample preparation, making it the most sensitive and accurate technology available. For over 40 years, customer satisfaction, technological progress and premier quality have been the guiding principles at Advanced Instruments, Inc. Our company as information on anaerobic chamber, jaundice and stomacher. We continue to focus on these principles and we recognize that this process does not stop the minute our instruments leave our facility. We have invested significant resources in the training and development of our service department in order to meet the needs of our ever-growing customer base with susceptibility test. Technical, application and troubleshooting support is now available 24/7 In an effort to improve our customer relations and long-term loyalty with both our dealers and direct customers, please be informed that effective August 1, Technical Support has expanded 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Support for ALL instruments (AI and SBI) will be handled. Spiral Biotech, Inc. first commercialized the technique of spiral plating in 1976. Since that time, the company has focused on automating the pre-analytical and analytical steps involved with traditional microbial enumeration with sample preparation. Spiral plating automatically prepares up to a four-fold sample dilution without the need for time-consuming manual pipeting, while significantly increasing repeatability and accuracy. We work together with fiske associates, and delta instruments finding new studies everyday.
