On
March 1, 2005, stricter pasteurization testing regulations will go into effect
for U.S. dairies and processors. And these regulations may soon be adopted
in Europe. The new requirements are driven by growing consumer and government
awareness that food safety and quality are critical public health issues.
The impact on dairy labs will be significant since traditional pasteurization
tests, such as the Scharer visual method, are no longer acceptable.
Advanced Instruments is offering a new white paper, Pasteurization Testing in a Stricter Regulatory Environment, which reviews the new ALP testing options and explains their exciting benefits to dairy process control and productivity. To download the white paper, please register here.
Advanced
Instruments also has developed an exciting new technology, the Fluorophos®
Test System, which dramatically exceeds the new sensitivity regulations and
evaluates samples in 3 minutes. Fluorophos technology, unlike the colorimetric
method, confirms the pasteurization of many different dairy products including
bovine, sheep, and goat milk, flavored and cultured products, and cheeses.
The cost per test is low and there is no need to run control samples with
each test. For more information on this new technology, click
