The Burkhard Portable Air Sampler is designed for short-term sampling using standard 90mm agar plates. Virtually silent, the Burkhard Portable Sampler will operate 3-4 hours on a single charge. An optional model, without batteries, may be ordered for applications requiring continuous use. High-quality aluminum bodies allow the Portable Air Sampler to withstand harsh environments. Two intake covers allow the operator to choose between maximizing use of the sampling area, or a "coned" cover to support exchange of plates prepared in the laboratory, then transported to the sampling location. Operating the Portable Air Sampler only requires the operator to turn the instrument on and select a sampling time from 1 to 9 minutes (continuous option also available). A sophisticated audio/visual system indicates when the instrument is sampling correctly and when sampling has ended.
